It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Marian Engineering College,Thiruvananthapuram.Since its inception in 2013 with an initial intake of 60 students, our department hasremained steadfast in its commitment to delivering top-tier education. We strive to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of Electrical Engineering, fostering the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.


At the heart of our educational approach is the cultivation of professionalism, ethical conduct, effective communication, teamwork, and a multidisciplinary mindset. These qualities are essential for our students' success in various career paths, be it in Industry, Research, or Academia, to meet the evolving demands of technology.


Our department boasts state-of-the-art laboratories including Electrical Machines Lab, Power System Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Circuits Lab, Measurements Lab, Control Systems Lab, Software Lab, and Electrical Workshop, providing students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge.Recognizing the diverse learning needs of our students, our dedicated staff advisors identify and support those who may require additional guidance, ensuring that every student can thrive academically. Furthermore, our departmental association, VIDYUTH, plays a pivotal role in organizing conferences, seminars, short-term programs, symposia, and workshops, enriching the educational experience of our students. Additionally, we facilitate Industrial Visits and maintain collaborations with professional bodies such as IEEE and ISTE, enhancing our students' exposure to real-world applications and industry trends.


The accomplishments of our alumni in esteemed companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Bosch, Tata ELXSI, among others, are a testament to the quality of education and training imparted by our department. Moreover, our students excel not only academically but also in cultural activities at both the college and university levels.
